Howick Hall Snowdrop Festival 2017

My friend Sue and I were craving some fresh air today so we headed north to the snowdrop festival at Howick Hall near Craster, and what a lovely day we had.  We dodged all the rain and forced ourselves to eat lunch in the Earl Grey tearoom - pork and leek sausage sandwiches with the most delightful side salad, followed by freshly baked scones. Yum!

The snowdrops were beautiful, as were the aconites and primroses. We even managed a little wander around Howick Parish Church, a fantastically peaceful church in a fantastically peaceful garden.  Just what the doctor ordered.  Spring is in the air!
